On an unseasonably warm and sunny autumn day we visited a divine property outside Trentham in Victoria. St Claire's can only be described as a work of art by owners Anne-Marie Pedeau and her husband, Neville Bullard. The house was built in 2017 with a French colonial inspiration. The overall pallette in the main pavilion is of fresh pastels. The large french windows flood the room with light. In every corner there is art and treasures to draw the eye. Mantels are swathed in natural beauty. Designers Guild wallpapers and fabrics adorn walls and windows. Books and porcelain treasures abound. The day we visited the owners had generously thrown the house open to visitors. The house and garden were filled with admirers of the owners vision. St Claire's went on to become a venue for weddings and functions. It was possible to hire the property for both functions and accommodation. The setting is for an intimate wedding reception on a balmy summer's evening in a glorious country garden. The bride is an Aussie lass who found her perfect match in the UK. The cere mony was performed on the tennis court and the rustic arbour was put together by the bride's stepdad.
